Today was another cold September day, but that don’t matter when it’s the Terry Fox Run, a major cancer research fundraiser in Canada.
Since 1981, this event has raised close to $500 million dollars Canadian dollars.
It was great to see quite a few came out to run, walk or just support this cause. Our Mayor spoke a few words and we ran a 10 km distance. I did part of my long run so this worked out great.
Camrose Church of God were serving free pancake breakfast there as well – excellent idea. Pancakes taste so good after a run!
I’ve been putting in a lot of distance the last couple of weeks, and the good thing is I feel quite good overall. Not as wore down and tired as I had expected.
Next will be the Red Deer ACAC XC race next Saturday, and the weekend after that, the ACAC race in Edmonton.
